Leah Christiansen,

I am Clinical Psychologist who specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychology. I provide psychological services to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. I completed my undergraduate Psychology studies at Flinders University, Adelaide and my Masters of Clinical Psychology degree with Distinction at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and families to improve their overall wellbeing, resilience and ability to thrive when faced with life’s challenges. I utilise evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and behavioural parenting interventions and tailor them to the needs of the individual and family.

I Have Experience With…

I have a special interest in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders and complete comprehensive assessments of Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I also complete cognitive assessments to assess learning difficulties in children under the age of 16.
